Swansea and Southampton keen on Everton target Alan Dzagoev as star’s agent confirms he is ready to leave CSKA Moscow for the Premier League

Загрузка...Swansea and Southampton are ready to rival Everton for CSKA Moscow playmaker Alan Dzagoev.
The midfielder, who is now ‘ready to play in England’ according to his agent, scored for CSKA Moscow in their 3-1 Champions League defeat by Tottenham at Wembley as Everton’s director of football Steve Walsh sat alongside the Russian club’s representatives in the stands.
However, the Toffees are not the only Premier League club taking a look at the 26-year-old.
Having flirted with the idea of moving to England in the past, Dzagoev is now keen to make the switch after eight seasons with CSKA.
Dzagoev’s agent Anton Astafiev has spoken with several clubs and is now awaiting their final decisions on the player ahead of the January transfer window.
He told Sportsmail: ‘He is a top player and he is ready to play in England.
‘I’m sure that after signing, his new club will be very impressed and positive about him because he is a really great professional.
‘Also, he can play No 10, box-to-box and left wing — so the club will get a great player who can play in three positions.’
Spurs tried to sign Dzagoev three seasons ago but the asking price of £25million proved a stumbling block. CSKA are now looking at a more realistic £15m.
